Vitamin B6 – Pyridoxine

Vitamin B6 is part of the group of vitamins knwn as the B Complex. These play an essential part in metabolising carbohydrates, fat and protein. This biochemical process results in the release of energy from food.

Vitamin B6 is involved in the formation of antibodies and it helps maintain the correct balance of phosphorous and sodium in the body.

Vitamin B6 also promotes healthy skin and helps maintain the central nervous system.

It is necessary to convert Tryptophan to Serotonin – which is essential in the regulation of mental processes and could have an impact upon mood.

Vitamin B6 can reduce leg cramp, muscle spasms, hand numbness, nausea and stiffness of the hands.
